For the second year in a row, Ryde has collaborated with the Institute of Transport Economics (TØI) to conduct a major survey on mobility. As the leading micromobility provider in Norway, Ryde has a large customer base that offers unique opportunities to gather valuable data on travel habits and the use of e-scooters in Norwegian cities.

Through this collaboration, TØI has gained access to a wide range of users, contributing to better insight into how e-scooters are used, which modes of transport they replace, and how they impact urban mobility.

“We greatly appreciate the strong collaboration with Ryde. It contributes to important knowledge, which in turn helps us find better solutions for everyone.”

Nils Fearnley, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Transport Economics

To encourage user participation, prizes were raffled among survey respondents this year. Four winners — one from each selected city — received 1,000 Ryde credits each as a thank-you for their participation.

Ryde sees great value in contributing to research and knowledge development within mobility, and we are proud to support TØI’s work by providing empirical data that can help foster a more holistic understanding of how micromobility fits into the urban transport landscape.
